Applications are now open for the 2025–26 Queensland Country Bank Good for Good Community Grants, offering up to $30,000 in funding for impactful community projects.
Since 2005, the program has delivered $3 million to support grassroots initiatives across Queensland in areas including arts, sport, health, education, and sustainability.
Queensland Country Bank Charters Towers Local Manager Susan Murphy said the grant program had supported some terrific initiatives in the region in the past, and she’d like to see more local organisations apply for a share of the funding pool this year.
“As a member-owned bank, Queensland Country Bank is able to give back to the local communities which support us,” said Ms Murphy.
“These grants are particularly valuable in rural and regional communities throughout Queensland to help support new or improved equipment and infrastructure that contributes to the organisation’s sustainability and longevity.
“Past recipients in our region have included the Charters Towers Civic Club who received $18,000 to install solar panels, and the Our Town Association who received $7000 to purchase a new hospital bed and medical supplies.
“These initiatives have long-lasting benefits for our community.
“Last year's Good for Good Grant round invested almost $150,000 into 15 organisations throughout the state to support a diverse range of initiatives, and we strongly encourage our local community groups apply for a share of this funding.”
Ms Murphy said the application process has been designed to be simple and accessible, and encouraged organisations to learn more online, or visit their local branch.
“We’ve created a clear Application Guide on our website to assist groups to check their eligibility and prepare their application, and we encourage interested groups to come into the Queensland Country Bank branch to discuss their project idea,” she said.
“Whether your organisation’s project idea is big or small, we want to hear how it will make a difference in the local community, and we want to help you make it happen.”
