Local dance studio Gold City Dance is preparing to relocate to a new premises at 81 Gill Street, Charters Towers, following years of searching and planning for a permanent space.
The building, which was previously a Salvation Army Family Store, will undergo work to convert the premises into a dedicated dance studio.
Owner of Gold City Dance Studios, Joanne Baron, said the move marked the beginning of a new stage for the dance school.
“After years of dreaming, searching and planning, we are heading into a new chapter,” Mrs Baron said.
Work will be required before the building is ready to operate and open as Gold City Dance’s studio.
“There’s lots of work to do before we can call it our dance studio, but we can already imagine all of the memories yet to be made within these walls,” she said.
“We can’t wait to share this space and this journey with you.”
Further updates and details regarding the development of the new premises will be available through Gold City Dance’s social media, with the new studio expected to form part of the school’s plans for 2027.
